I have never been a social media guy. I like to keep my personal affairs to myself. However recentlyl, I felt the urge to start posting anything to everyone. This had me rethink of why social media is so popular. I think it has to do with the basic instinct to connect with others. Perhaps it is an evolution instict to form groups to protect ourselves and our common interests. Social media is an efficient medium to find and recruit individuals which would have normally taken years.
So my bottom line. The reason people to social media is to connect with others who share the same interests, dreams, pain, hardships, etc. My advice for those who emphasize with perfect strangers’ posts; just press like, rate, and share. If you disagree or feel the temptation to tease or bully, just turn around because it is not ‘your group’. You want to connect with people you agree with. Don’t stress yourself on arguing with those whom you do not agree with in the first place. There is an appropriate place for debate and but it isn’t social media.
